In this project, I have designed three character based on our animation project (In the Shadows). They are Siti, old Siti and Mak Cik.​

Siti is the female protagonist of the story. Initially she is a Malay girl from Earth, however, she got stuck in the wayang world at a very young age and can't recall any memories of Earth. In the wayang world, she was raised by Makcik, the 'bomoh'. She later meets Ahmad in the wayang kulit world and they fall in love with each other as the story progresses. Her characteristic include courageous, caring, naive, optimistic and amiable. Strengths: gives help. Weaknesses: Makcik.

This character is Siti after 60 years. At the end of the story, she will make an appearance to throw of the audience and close the story. The ending also shows that she has married Ahmad for many years. While Siti was designed based on the 'wayang kulit' world, grandma Siti was designed based on reality. Therefore, the structure of her body leans towards a normal human.

Makcik is the supporting character of the story. An old lady puppet who lives in a dark smoky hut in suburb area. A ’bomoh’. Knows black magic. Barely have connection with the wayang kulit world. Stepmother of Siti. She found Siti when she was still a young kid and raised her up. She loves Siti very much and could do anything even killing Ahmad just to keep Siti. Makcik still has 3 puppet triplets grandchild. Her characteristic include solitary, cunning, insidious, powerful and amiable. Strengths: Knows black magic, has a group of guards. Weaknesses: Siti.
